Educator
Hello,
My name is Dawn Hemelaar, I am the owner / operator of Lil Scholar's Day camp.
I’m so excited about my role and responsibilities as an Owner/Operator of Lil Scholar’s Day Camp LLC. As a mother with a child that has autism, I understand the need for and the importance of individualized care. It plays a very significant role in a child’s development. Here at Lil Scholar’s Day Camp LLC., we provide opportunities for meaningful play that is based on our Lil scholar's individual needs, interests, handicaps, and abilities. We aspire to provide a healthy atmosphere with other Lil Scholars to create a blossoming and wholesome social relationship. Our philosophy is to create an atmosphere where our Lil Scholars can Learn ~ Grow ~ and Play; through imagination, exploring, creating and learning. Our Lil Scholars can strive at learning all the fundamentals and meeting their developmental milestones. We provide each Lil Scholar with individual care. The families and children of our community are very important to us.

Development and learning are dynamic processes and play is essential for all children from birth to 8 years old. Children learn best from doing!
Our philosophy is to foster an environment that promotes joyful learning through play. Play is a principle of child development that fosters self-regulation, language, cognitive, and social competencies as well as content knowledge across disciplines.
